Old signs are one type of antique rare object that many people enjoy collecting.  Many old signs are quite valuable, especially if the products or stores they advertise are now large corporations.  Coca-Cola and Pepsi signs have a huge following of collectors, as do rarer and now defunct companies that have played a big part in American pop culture.
